01In short
Jobunt only uses cookies and storage needed for the service. No advertising cookies, no audience measurement, no third-party trackers.
That is why the site does not ask for your consent: the law does not require it for what is strictly necessary for the service you request (Art. 45c of the Swiss Telecommunications Act, Art. 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive).
02Cookies and local storage
A cookie is a small file that a site places in your browser and reads again on each visit. Local storage works in a similar way, but its content is not sent to the site on each visit: it stays on your device.
03Jobunt cookies
Jobunt sets three cookies. The jobunt_session cookie keeps you logged in: it is signed, inaccessible to scripts (HttpOnly) and lasts 30 days, or until you log out. The jobunt_lang cookie remembers the language you chose for 1 year. Finally, the jobunt_apercu cookie gives invited people access to the site while it is not open to the public; it lasts 30 days.
04Necessary third-party cookies
Cloudflare may set its own security cookies, for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance, only when necessary, to tell visitors from bots and protect the site. They last from 30 minutes to a few days. On the sign-up and forgotten password pages, the Cloudflare Turnstile bot check also analyses technical signals from your browser; it is used neither for advertising nor for cross-site tracking.
When you pay for the Pro plan, the payment page is served by Stripe, on its own domain. Stripe uses cookies there that are necessary for payment and fraud prevention, under its own policy.
05Resources loaded from other servers
To read your PDF and Word files and create your letters as PDFs directly in your browser, Jobunt loads libraries from cdnjs, a Cloudflare service. Your browser connects to it, which passes your IP address to Cloudflare. No cookie is set in the process.
06Storage in your browser
Some data stays on your device, in the browser's local storage, and is not sent to us as such. This applies to the light or dark theme you chose, your last search and recent searches, your profile photo and your CV files. A job ad link pasted before you log in stays there while you log in.
Other browsing data is kept there for the life of a tab, then erased when it is closed: the email address entered, the page to reopen, the company profiles viewed and the waiting time before you can request a new code.
07Managing and deleting them
You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Logging out deletes the session cookie. Without it, you will need to log in again. If you block all cookies, you will not be able to log in.
08If this changes
If Jobunt ever adds audience measurement or a non-essential cookie, your consent will be asked first and this page will be updated.
