Subject: Application for the biomedical laboratory scientist position

Dear Mr Barbey,

Your laboratory is looking for a biomedical scientist for its haematology section. I have worked in this field for five years and want to join a hospital lab with a wider range of cases.

Qualified as a biomedical laboratory scientist, I work at Laboratoire Médical du Rhône, running haematology and coagulation tests on Sysmex analysers, reading blood smears and validating results. I take part in ISO 15189 audits and in the night and weekend on-call rota.

Your hospital laboratory and its specialised diagnostics would let me go deeper into cytology, which particularly interests me.

I am available from 1 March and would be glad to meet you.

Kind regards,
Céline Martenet
