What the recruiter wants to read

Your federal certificate as a plumber, heating installer or sheet-metal worker, and the systems you have installed.
Recent techniques: heat pumps, solar thermal, bathroom renovation.

Subject: Application for the plumber position

Dear Mr Clerc,

Your company is looking for a plumber for its renovation projects. I have spent the last five years refitting bathrooms and kitchens in older buildings, and that is the work I want to continue with you.

As a qualified plumber, I work at Sanitaire Romand Sàrl, where I run my own jobs: stripping out, new multilayer pipework, fitting appliances and commissioning. I also do one week of on-call duty a month and am currently training in heat pump connections.

Your focus on renovation and the trust you place in your fitters are what draw me to you.

I am available from 1 March and hold a category B driving licence. I would be glad to meet you.
