Example

Subject: Application for the painter and decorator position

Dear Mr Gremaud,

Your company is looking for a qualified painter. I have worked for seven years, mostly renovating flats and façades, and want to join a team known for its finishing.

As a qualified painter, I work at Peinture Gruérienne Sàrl, preparing surfaces, filling, wallpapering and rendering façades with external insulation. I run flat renovations on my own, from the meeting with the property manager to handing back the keys.

The renovations of old buildings shown on your website are exactly the jobs I want to work on.

I am available from 1 March and hold a category B driving licence. I would be glad to meet you.

Kind regards,
Marco Rodrigues
